Manila councilor’s SUV stolen in QC

Last Saturday, August 9, the driver of Manila 3rd District councilor Jong Isip drove the councilor’s teenage son to an ABS-CBN Star Magic talent workshop. They were using a Mitsubishi Montero (POV-828).

Along with driver Roland Subion, house helper Reyna Protacio was also in the SUV.

“After they dropped of Isip’s son, Subion decided to buy pan de sal from a nearby bakery. This was around 7:30am. Subion stopped the SUV at the corner of Scout Tobias and Lazcano Streets,” reports Erika Sauler in Philippine Daily Inquirer.

So, Protacio was left alone inside the vehicle and the engine was still running.

The report revealed: “That was when the suspect approached and forced Protacio off the front passenger seat. Within seconds, the robber was behind the wheel and driving away.”

The robber was described as “bald, stocky, and wearing a blue T-shirt, and cargo pants.”

The investigation is now ongoing.
