Manila cop accused of pointing his gun at a woman in Caloocan

An officer with the Manila Police District faces charges for allegedly making grave threats against a 31-year-old woman in Caloocan City.

The unidentified complainant said she had been playing cards with neighbors at Grace Park, Caloocan last Saturday when she felt Police Officer 2 Larry Magtaan Rey’s left hand near her right leg.

Apparently thinking the policeman was trying to make advances at her, the complainant warned Rey against touching her legs, a Philippine Star report said. “Irked, the policeman took his gun and poked it at the woman’s right temple for about two minutes,” the report said.

The victim has filed a complaint with the Northern Police District.
