We’ve been saying this over and over again: Let’s hope they finally find a solution for this problem.
“On Thursday, May 29, Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada said the city government is planning to set up an express lane for trucks,” reports Jose Rodel Clapano in The Philippine Star.
Estrada explained that he had “designated a team headed by traffic czar and Vice Mayor Isko Moreno to finalize the plan for the Traffic Express Trade lane.”
Estrada said the expless lane scheme would allow the trucks “to travel around the clock in the city using the express lane.” Among the major roads being eyed for the Traffic Express Trade lane is Roxas Boulevard.
Estrada was quoted as saying, “It will be implemented by June. The scheme is still being fine-tuned.”
