“Torsten Van Dullemen, general manager of Mandarin Oriental Manila, revealed that the new 275-room hotel will be located near the Ayala Triangle, facing the Zuellig Building at Paseo de Roxas in Makati City,” reports Karen Flores on ABS-CBNnews.com.
The new incarnation of the hotel is scheduled to open in 2020. It will be owned and developed by Ayala Land Hotels & Resorts.
The Chinese restaurant Tin Hau will be the first establishment at the Mandarin Oriental Manila to close.
So, for two weeks, starting Wednesday, July 2, Tin Hau will hold a promotion so its fans can “say goodbye properly.” After Tin Hau, the contemporary European restaurant Tivoli will be the next to close.
The Mandarin Oriental Manila itself is set to close this year, although no specific date has been announced.
