Man who beat his wife dies of heat stroke while in jail

Mother Nature made him pay.

“Rolando Dador, 59, was who arrested on May 4 based on a complaint filed by his wife, Nely, suffered heat stroke while in jail and died while being treated at the Caloocan Medical Center on Saturday night, May 10,” reports Rey Galupo in The Philippine Star.

According to police reports, Dador’s wife said he had beaten her up. As such, he had been charged for violating Republic Act 9262, the law penalizing violence against women and their children.

He was detained at the Caloocan police Sub-station 1 after he failed to post bail.

On Friday, May 9, Dador complained of breathing difficulties. So, he was rushed to the hospital, where doctors noted that he had hypertension.
