Man throws grenade near school, doesn’t explode

It’s a good thing the grenade was a dud.

“On Tuesday night, July 22, an unidentified man threw a hand grenade at a commercial establishment near the Philippine Christian University (PCU) along Taft Avenue in Malate, Manila,” reports Fergus E. Josue, Jr. in Tempo.

Fortunately, the grenade did not explode when it landed near the J.L Building in front of PCU.

Police officers cordoned off the area as Manila Police District- Explosive Ordinance Disposal Section (MPD–EODS) personnel safely recovered the grenade.

People in the area were not able to identify the grenade-thrower.

The investigation is ongoing.
