Man robs Sogo Hotel cashier

When you check in a motel, the last thing you want to do is hang around the lobby, right?

Not Billy Joseph Miranda.

At Sogo Hotel in Pasay on Saturday, “a man who posed as customer robbed a cashier of Sogo Hotel and took away more than PHP18,000 in cash in Pasay City,” reports Edd Reyes in People’s Journal.

Investigators said the victim, Jeanefe Palicpic, had noticed the suspect because he was hanging out in the lobby, claiming he was waiting for a companion.

Eventually, he approached the cashier counter, drew a gun and declared a robbery. He managed to take away the hotel’s earnings and flee hotel security who chased the suspect.

It’s not clear if his companion ever arrived.
