A 40-year-old man named John Artiga robbed a 24-hour Dunkin Donuts store along C. Jose Street in Malibay, Pasay and got arrested when he tried to strike again after just four hours.
PO3 Lorene Osias, of Station Investigation Detective Management Branch of Pasay City Police revealed that Artiga was arrested in the early hours of Mon, Jan 25.
“The Dunkin Donuts cashier told police that at around 8:30pm on Sun, Jan 25, Artiga entered the store and pretended to be a customer. He then pulled out a knife as he announced a robbery. The cashier handed over the PHP2,000 earnings,” reports Jeffrey C. Tiangco on Journal Online.
Much to the donut shop crew’s shock, Artiga was back at the scene at 12:30am on Mon, Jan 25 or just four hours after he took PHP2,000 at knifepoint.
This time around, the quick-thinking cashier asked a co-worker to immediately seek help from the police. Thankfully, PO1s Noel Radores and Reynald Macwes of the Malibay Police Community Precinct quickly arrived and arrested the suspect.
Artiga faces robbery charges.
