This is one of those stories that have us shaking our heads.
“Jerome Naol — who was riding a a motorcycle he had just bought last Saturday (Dec 28) as a gift to himself after his recent promotion at work — was killed when he rammed a concrete barrier along the C-5 Road in Pasig City Sunday, Dec 29,” reports Non Alquitran in The Philippine Star.
According to Naol’s cousin, Felmar Docena, the deceased had been on his way to his office to get his cellphone charger when the accident happened.
Naol, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown off his motorcycle when he slammed into the road barrier. He landed on another motorcycle, which was driven by Robert Sangalang.
Sangalang, who was on the opposite side of the road, sustained minor injuries. Naol died on the spot.
