This story has many surreal layers.
“An unidentified man was recently mauled to death at the Sgt. Mariano Cemetery in Zone 16, Barangay 148, Pasay City for allegedly stealing a chicken in Pasay City,” reports Mitch Arceo in Tempo.
According to cemetery caretaker Richard Enriquez, he saw the victim holding a fighting cock and was being chased by a group of men screaming “Thief!” at him.
Police described the dead man as 45- to 50-years-old, 5’4” in height, of medium built, and clad in a blue shirt and a pair of jeans. He sustained body and head injuries. He had been taken to the Pasay City General Hospital, but he was declared dead soon after.
The investigation is ongoing.
