A retired government employee allegedly shot dead two people and wounded four others after he confronted them over their stinking septic tank yesterday in Davao City.
Rolando Salazar, a former employee of the Davao City Water District, allegedly barged inside the home of the Navarro family at about 10am in the village of Buhangin. A resident claimed that the suspect confronted the Navarros to complain over their septic tank.

The family was preparing for breakfast when an angry Rolando allegedly suddenly shot each of them then ran away.
Five members of the family were hit: Zusima Navarro, 62; Rafael Navarro, 33; Rusty Navarro, 35; Ryan Navarro, 39; and Jeselle Navarro, 35. They were rushed to the Southern Philippines Medical Center but Ryan and Jeselle eventually died from gunshot wounds.
As he was fleeing, the suspect mistakenly shot dead his own son, Roland Salazar, after he tried to block the former’s path. The authorities caught Rolando and confiscated a .9mm Armscor handgun and two magazines with 10 live ammunition from him.
Rolando will be charged with murder and frustrated murder.
