Chivalry must be dead.
“At around 1am on Sunday, Jan. 26, contruction worker Reymond Obar, 22, and his co-worker Joshua Diasanta, 18, challenged to a fight a man who had whistled at their female friends at the corner of Mindanao Avenue and Quirino Highway in Novaliches, Quezon City,” reports the Philippine Daily Inquirer.
Obar and Diasanta had been walking with some female companions when they reportedly heard the stranger’s wolf whistle. So, they went near the yet-unidentified man and confronted him. He retaliated by stabbing them.
Obar was declared dead on arrival at a hospital for a stab wound in the abdomen. Diasanta remains confined for a leg wound.
