Man goes home naked, fakes mugging to hide affair from wife

The cheater who cried wolf.

On Wednesday, a Filipino man faked a mugging to hide the fact that he had cheated on his wife the night before.

It all started, as most good stories do, when 47-year-old carpenter Roger Belizar of Tarlac went home naked at 2am.

According to GMA News’ Unang Balita, he then went to the police station with his wife and falsely reported that he had been mugged by two men while riding his motorcycle around 9pm the night before.

He claimed that the muggers took his cell phone, motorcycle, and clothes, which was his explanation for being naked.

However, police found inconsistencies in Belizar’s story.

“What he’s saying is inconsistent. The time he said he was mugged, that’s the time the vehicle was recovered,” authorities said in Filipino.

That’s when Belizar came out with the truth.

Apparently, he actually came from a beerhouse with an unidentified woman the night before, who he ended up bringing to a “private location” aboard his motorcycle.

Belizar said he ended up leaving the motorbike in a vacant lot and went home naked, however, he did not explain what happened to his clothes. Wild night?

Afraid for his wife to find out about his secret rendezvous, he decided to lie about the mugging.

“I just don’t want to fight with my wife,” Belizar said.

Sorry, bud. Looks like you’re in much deeper trouble now.
