A dead man’s body was found in Tondo, Manila last night.

ABS-CBN News reported that the unidentified man’s head, hands, and feet were wrapped in packaging tape.

Authorities did not find any identification cards on the man wearing a black jacket, khaki shorts, and green shoes, the report added.

Radyo Inquirer stated that police believe that the man was beaten up based on the bruises and wounds on his body. Authorities also found two plastic sachets containing suspected shabu inside the man’s pockets.

The same Radyo Inquirer report states that authorities believe the lifeless body was only left there to mislead the investigation.

According to a porter who discovered the body, he along with a fellow porter and a driver, were in the area to get a container van at Road 10, in Barangay (Village) 128 at 10:30pm, ABS-CBN News reported.

When they got there, they were allegedly shocked to see the dead body behind the container van. They immediately reported the body to police patrolling the area.

“They (police) might think we did it [if we didn’t report it],” the porter said in Filipino.

Police are still investigating what caused the victim’s death, ABS-CBN News reported.
