Let’s face it — this campus has security issues.
“Ramon Dy of Barangay Pansol — who served as a parking attendant — was stabbed dead in the University of the Philippines campus in Diliman, Quezon City at around 8pm on Thursday, Feb 20,” reports Reinir Padua in The Philippine Star.
The report revealed that Dy was attacked at a vacant lot near the College of Law building. He was with his girlfriend, Esperanza Sevillo.
According to Sevillo, Dy had excused himself because he wanted to look for the men’s room. However, when he came back to where she waited, she saw that he was wounded. Before he collapsed, he was able to tell her that a man he didn’t know had stabbed him for unknown reasons.
Sevillo, assisted by bystanders, rushed Dy to a hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
The investigation is ongoing.
