Operations along the Metro Rail Transit were disrupted Sunday morning after a train heading south hit a man near Magallanes Station at around 5:00 a.m.
It is yet unclear how the man, described as a “taong grasa” or vagrant in a Radio DZMM report, ended up on the train tracks, but MRT general manager Al Vitangcol III said the man seemed to be sleeping there.
Pasay police are still investigating the incident and trying to identify the victim. Although there are CCTV cameras installed at MRT stations, stretches of track between the stations have no cameras.
MRT operations were back to normal by 9:17 a.m., the Department of Transportation and Communications said.
