Man crushed to death by 2 backhoes

It’s such a gruesome way to die.

“Rexiel Bono, a 21-year-old helper, died after he was pinned by two backhoes in a warehouse in Valenzuela City on Saturday morning, June 21,” reports Rey Galupo in The Philippine Star.

The report noted: “Bono was driving one of the backhoes in the Good Morning International Corp. warehouse when the main door suddenly opened at around 9:30am. Then, without turning off the engine, Bono supposedly jumped from the backhoe to close the door but the equipment kept running and hit another backhoe. The two backhoes crushed his body.”

The report added that “it took several hours for co-workers to bring Bono to the Valenzuela General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.”

Investigators are trying to find out if Bono know how to operate the machine and/or if he was authorized to do so. They are also trying to determine if the company could be held liable for his death.
