Early on Tue, Sep 8, a man clad only in briefs went up an electric post along Marcos Highway in Antipolo City, Rizal. Needless to say, passers-by were alarmed. A rescue team was called to the area.
The man kept shouting something about fleeing from someone threatening to kill him.
When the rescue team arrived, they set up a ladder and tried to get the man to come down. However, he tried to flee from them. He walked on the power cables. To ensure his safety and that of everyone near him, power was temporarily shut down in the area.
After a few minutes, the rescuers were able to convince the man to come down. The man then brought to Amang Rodriguez Medical Center. He only mumbled when asked why he climbed the post in the first place.
Police are now trying to determine the man’s identity. (from a report by Miguel Dumaual, ABS-CBN News)
