Man attempts to jump off MRT Kamuning station roof

Fortunately, he was convinced to ditch his deadly plan.

“A man tried to jump from the roof of the Metro Rail Transit station in Quezon City, causing heavy southbound traffic along the of EDSA on Wednesday, November 5,” reports Dennis Carcamo on Philstar.com.

The report said that as early as 5am, bystanders already saw the man on the roof of the southbound side of the MRT-Kamuning station.

Members of Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) who rushed to the area readily placed an airbag to catch the man. They managed to convince the man to come down from the roof around 6:30am.

The man, who was later identified only as “Carlo.” claimed he had a problem with his wife.

The report noted: “Though MRT operations were not disrupted, traffic along EDSA southbound was heavy due to the airbag and the rescue team which occupied three lanes.”

Authorities still haven’t decided if they’ll press charges against “Carlo.”
