A 29-year-old drug addict from Caloocan City named Adrian Campos was arrested after his mother-in-law told the police that he had raped both his seven-year-old daughter and 11-year-old son. The boy is confined for leptospirosis at the San Lazaro Hospital in Manila.
“Campos’ mother-in-law Rosalinda Casabar, 48, related that when she visited her grandson at the hospital on Mon evening, Sep 21, the boy told her that his father sodomized him and threatened him if he will tell anyone about his ordeal,” reports Edd Reyes on Journal Online.
The boy also added that his father “stole the cellular phone owned by a relative of another patient before leaving him alone at the hospital.”
The report noted: “When Casabar told her husband about the incident, the suspect’s 7-year-old daughter also confessed she had been raped by their father since she was five.”
The children’s mother is an OFW working in Saudi Arabia.
The Casabars immediately sought help from police and barangay officials which resulted in the arrest of the suspect.
Campos will be charged with rape in relation to R.A. 7610 or the Child Abuse Law.
