Man arrested for cracking bomb joke at LRT

In case you didn’t know it,  Presidential Decree 1727 prohibits “the malicious dissemination of false information of the willful making of any threat concerning bombs, explosives, and such.”

It applies to anyone and anywhere in the Philippines.

This is why a man named Abdurahman Dalidigan, 26, was arrested for cracking bomb joke while a security guard was checking his bag at the Light Rail Transit (LRT) Carriedo station on Sun morning, Nov 29.

“Police Officer 1 Marco Antonio Bago and PO2 Rodel Adviento heard Dalidigan  saying that he was carrying a bomb in his bag while being frisked at the tills at around 8am. The bag, however, contained several identification cards, Dalidigan’s passport, and some medicine,” reports Rey Galupo in The Philippine Star.

Dalidigan was, of course, charged for violating Presidential Decree 1727.
