A man allegedly killed his estranged wife yesterday morning in the province of Negros Occidental after he witnessed her having sex with another man.
Bombo Radyo identified the suspect as Artemio Electico, 57. He allegedly stabbed his ex-wife to death in the village of San Jose in the town of Binalbagan.
According to Chief Inspector Albert Sy, the unidentified victim had been living in another house because she has been separated from Electico for a year. Despite that, however, Electico had stalked the victim because he’d heard of rumors that she had a new man.
Based on the authorities’ investigation, Electico caught his ex-wife having sex with her alleged lover, identified as Rosenio Alcala, 48, in her home. Electico and Alcala had a fistfight first before the latter fled the scene. After he left, Electico allegedly killed his ex-wife.
The victim died from stab wounds. The suspect is currently detained at the Binalbagan Municipal Police Station.
