Bitter truth: Some family members don’t deserve our kindness.
“Joselito Godoy, 26, registered nurse was stabbed by his sister’s partner, Alex de Guzman, 33, in Deparo, Caloocan City on Sunday, Dec 15, after he refused to allow the suspect to borrow his motorcycle,” reports Rey Galupo in The Philippine Star.
Godoy’s sister has reportedly gotten mad at him when he refused to let De Guzman borrow his motorcycle. They argued and De Guzman joined in. A commotion ensued and De Guzman went to get a knife. Thus, he ended up stabbing Godoy.
To his credit, De Guzman “voluntarily surrendered to the police after the incident.” He has been charged with frustrated homicide. Godoy was rushed to the hospital.
As for Godoy’s sister, the report didn’t name her nor reveal if she acknowledged that she was essentially the cause of her brother’s misery.
