“Two young men were arrested after stealing fighting cocks and trying to sell one of them in Malabon City on Sunday afternoon,” reports Nathaniel Melican in Philippine Daily Inquirer.
Investigators identified the suspects as Michael Acebuche of Barangay Dampalit and a 16-year-old out-of-school youth. They were accused of stealing two fighting cocks of Melchor Paglinanwan.
The owner learned about the theft on Sunday morning when he noticed that his wards were missing. He found one nearby, and the other one later in the day when he caught the suspects trying to sell it at a nearby community plaza.
