Now, this is undoubtedly a milestone.
“San Bartolome Parish, the oldest in Malabon City, is celebrating its 400th founding anniversary on May 17,” reports Philippine Daily Inquirer.
The parish was founded by the Augustinian friars in 1614.
To mark its quadricentennial anniversary, the parish will hold the following activities: *On May 10, there will be a re-dedication of the church at 3:30pm and a concelebrated Mass at 5:30pm.
On May 16, there will be a pre-celebration with a holy Mass at 5:30pm, a program from 7pm to 11:45pm, as well as and a countdown to the anniversary itself.
On May 17, there will be a wreath-laying ceremony at 8am by ambassadors from the United States, Spain, and Japan. The quadricentennial commemorative stamp for the parish will also be unveiled.
