Makati suspends color coding scheme on Nov 1

Any attempt to reduce traffic woes will be appreciated.

“Makati will suspend the color coding scheme on Nov 1 and reroute traffic around Manila South Cemetry starting 12 midnight of Oct 31 to give way to the observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day,” reports Manila Standard Today.

The report added that the following roads will be closed to vehicles: Kalayaan Avenue (from Zapote Street to F. Zobel St.), South Avenue (from Metropolitan to J.P. Rizal), Vito Cruz (from South Avenue to Zapote St.), N. Garcia/Reposo (from Jupiter to J.P. Rizal), and Pililia St. (from J.P. Rizal to Kalayaan Avenue).

Meanwhile: two-way traffic will be allowed in the following areas: J.P. Rizal (from Pasong Tirad to Makati Avenue), Kalayaan Avenue (from F. Zobel St. to Makati Avenue), as well as the stretch from Pasong Tirad to Zapote Street.

The rerouting will remain in effect until midnight of Nov 2.
