Makati opens 2 more day care centers

This is a good idea that the rest of the country can adopt.

“The Makati City government has opened two more day care centers to house children, ages two to four, whose parents don’t have nannies at home,” reports Anna Liza Villas-Alavaren in Manila Bulletin.

The report noted: “The two child-minding centers in Makati are the Kasilawan 2 Day Care Center in District 1 and Rizal 2 Day Care Center in District 2. Each child minding center is managed by two trained day care workers.”

The day care centers are open from 6:30am until 6:30 pm, Mondays to Fridays.

The report explained that “the conceptualization of the child minding centers was also in support of R.A. 6972, also known as the Barangay-Level Total Development and Protection of Children Act, R.A. 8980, the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Law and the 1991 Local Government Code.”
