Makati issues free birth, marriage, death certificates on February 27

These freebies are useful.

“The city government of Makati, through its City Civil Registration Office (CCRO), will issue certified true copies of birth, marriage and death certificates free of charge to clients on Thursday, Feb 27, to mark the end of Civil Registration Month this February,” reports Manila Bulletin.

The report quoted the city’s CCRO chief, Josephine Copada, who said that “the special one-day free issuance of civil registry documents is open to both residents and non-residents.”

Copada explained that “clients with rush requests that take only about an hour to process will still have to pay R152 for one copy, but will be given one additional copy for free.”

Sounds like a good deal, right? (By the way, we ddidn’t even know that February was supposed to be Civil Registration Month until we read this!)
