A 6.1 magnitude quake struck off the coast of Lian, Batangas, at around 1:28 pm today, the Philippine Insitute of Volcanology and Seismology (PhilVolcs) reported.

The earthquake’s epicenter is located about 120 kilometers south of the capital.
Metro Manila residents reported feeling the earthquake as far north as Quezon City.
According to PhilVolcs, they are not expecting the quake to have caused any damage to property or infrastructure, but warns residents to expect aftershocks to follow.
