Lyceum of the Philippines instructor suffers fatal heart attack at Isetann food court

It’s sad to think that he was literally having his last meal.

“Benedict Cabalbag, a 37-year-old instructor of the Lyceum of the Philippines, suffered a heart attack while eating at the food court of the Isetann department store in Sta. Cruz, Manila on Wednesday afternoon, September 17,” reports Rey Galupo in The Philippine Star.

According to the report, Cabalbag was having lunch with his sister when he collapsed at around 2pm after he felt ill.

Calbalbag was brought to the Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center with the help of a Criminology student. Unfortunately, the Lyceum instructor died at the hospital.

Cabalbag’s sister later revealed that her brother “suffered from heart enlargement and diabetes.”
