This will help speed up the exodus of Typhoon Yolanda survivors.
“The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) said on Monday, Nov 11, that it is issuing special permits to provincial roll-on roll-off (RO-RO) buses with routes from Metro Manila to areas in the Visayas and Mindanao affected by Typhoon Yolanda,” reports Reinir Padua in The Philippine Star.
Department of Transportation and Communications Secretary Joseph Emilio Abaya ordered the board to issue the special permits to allow residents of affected areas to leave the area.
This means additional public buses will be deployed in the affected areas in Leyte, Samar, Cebu, and Davao.
