LTFRB destroys fixers’ hangout

Fixers may soon be “extinct.”

“A joint operation of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) and the Quezon City government has demolished alleged fixers’ nest built adjacent to the agency’s Central Office along Magalang Street in Quezon City,” reports Kris Bayos in the Manila Bulletin.

LTFRB executive director Atty. Roberto Cabrera said the demolition is part of the agency’s anti-fixer campaign. Their next move is to “engage the Philippine National Police to help sweep the fixers who loiter along East Avenue.”

The report quoted Cabrera, who said, “People get duped by these fixers and one way of eradicating these unscrupulous elements is by removing their nest.”

But what if they just build new nests?
