It seems like two very different worlds.
“Atty. Winston Ginez, chairman of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), confirmed on Friday, October 24, he is being offered a position in the Commission on Elections (COMELEC),” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
Ginez explained in a dzMM interview that the offer was made to him due to “the impending retirements of poll chairman Sixto Brillantes Jr. and Commissioners Elias Yusoph and Lucenito Tagle in February 2015.”
Ginez revealed, though, that he has not accepted the offer. “I haven’t thought about it much because there are so many things to do at the LTFRB,” he said.
The report noted: “Ginez served as one of the private prosecutors in the impeachment trial of Chief Justice Renato Corona in 2011. He has a double degree in accounting and law, placing 3rd in the 1995 Philippine Bar Exams.”
Knowing that, we’re pretty surprised he’s made some baffling moves as LTFRB chief.
Remember when he decided colorum trucks should be given a longer reprieve? We all know what happened then.
