LRT to undergo renovations in February

Haven’t we heard this story before?

“Following incessant complaints from passengers, the Light Rail Transit (LRT) on Tuesday, Jan 28, announced they will soon be adding more trains and that they will undergo renovations in February,” reports Mary Rose A. Hogaza on Manila Bulletin Online.

Just to be clear: They don’t know when the additional trains will come or if they ever will. They’re only sure about the so-called renovations that will supposedly happen in next month, which involves the replacement of rails.

The report cited LRT Spokesperson Atty. Hernando Cabrera, who explained, “Ang problema po ay kulang na po ang gamit na trains at may speed restriction gawa ng mga lumang riles (The problem is there are only few trains operating and a speed restriction was implemented because the rails are already old).”

It doesn’t take a genius to figure that out.
