LRT trouble today? Here’s why

If you’re still surprised by this, then you don’t take the train or you’re not from Metro Manila.

“A technical glitch disrupted the operations of the Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT 1) on Tuesday, April 22,” reports dzMM correspondent Noel Alamar on ABS-CBNnews.com.

According to Light Rail Transit Authority spokesperson Hernando Cabrera, a southbound LRT 1 train got stuck at the Blumentritt Station after “losing traction power.”

LRTA public relations officer Lyn Paragas added that the train’s brake system also “lost air pressure.”

LRT technicians had to “reset” the train and operations resumed at 7:22am.
