Pretty soon, passengers arriving in Cebu will have the option of taking a fast train to the city.
A team of transportation experts from Singapore is expected to present the results of their feasibility study between mid-October and November.
“Initially, the Cebu LRT project covers Carcar City in southern Cebu to Danao City in the north, passing through the Mactan-Cebu International Airport in Lapu-Lapu City,” reports Mars W. Mosqueda Jr in Manila Bulletin.
The Private-Public-Partnership project is “estimated to cost US$30 million per kilometer for elevated areas.”
The Philippine Star also reports that Cebu will have a Bus Rapid Transit in Cebu, according to presidential assistant for the Visayas Michael Lloyd Diño.
