President Rodrigo Duterte, known for his iron fist and tough image, smiled like a little boy upon seeing miniature versions of himself created by toymaker Dennis Mendoza.
We can’t blame him. The Duterte toys looked way cool.
The custom-made Duterte 1/6 scale action figures were presented to the President at Malacañan Palace on Wed night, Aug 3.
Mendoza and his family had a chance to interact with the President, who seemed very happy with Mendoza’s creations.
The 36-year-old toymaker made his first mini-figure of Duterte on the last night of the then-Davao City Mayor’s presidential campaign as a tribute to his candidate of choice.
So far, there are 13 versions showing the President’s different poses and outfits. One showed him flashing the middle finger, and there’s another showed him riding a motorcycle.
The action figures are sold from PHP800 to PHP5000.
The Duterte action figures were first seen at the ToyCon last month.
