Mar Roxas jokingly calls himself “jobless” after losing the presidential elections in May, but it looks like the break from politics has been very good for him. He’s getting into all sorts of wonderful things, like camping and travel blogging.
His latest accomplishment was earning a certification as an advanced diver — an awesome feat for the 59-year-old who is considered an icon of Philippine politics! He shared the news via his Facebook page on Sun, Jul 3.
“Happy to announce that I’m now certified as an advanced diver! And since it’s a Sunday, fish be with you,” he said.
The former Interior and Local Government Secretary was accompanied by his wife Korina Sanchez, also a diving enthusiast, during a trip to a well-known diving spot in Anilao, Batangas.
His proud wife also uploaded a picture of Mar on her Instagram account.
“Congratulations to my honey (napaka pogi naman) for completing his Advanced Diving course today,” she captioned one of her photos.
Without a doubt, Mar Roxas is enjoying his life as a private citizen.
