From S&M-inspired to futuristic-themed rooms, motels all across the Metro are happy to accomodate thrill-seeking couples. The Hotel Sogo chain has taken an unexpected turn by welcoming a well-loved pussycat into the family. They now have — wait for it — Hello Kitty rooms!

Nope, it’s not for those with a cat fetish. It’s an attempt to make to make the motel more family-friendly.
“If we continue to cater to just this small market, we cannot grow. We knew for quite some time now that it made sense to cater to different segments of the market,” said Hotel Sogo CEO Gus Corpuz.
In line with reinventing its image, Hotel Sogo got real-life couple Robin Padilla and Mariel Rodriguez as the hotel’s newest brand ambassadors.
Robin believes in Sogo’s mission of making the hotel experience accessible to families who can’t afford it. Mariel is currently expecting a child. The couple is in the perfect position to send a message that the hotel is family friendly.
For regulars who want to keep things exciting, worry not. Sogo is keeping old favorites.
