Ahhh, the things government officials say.
“Passengers may have to deal with even more inconvenience at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 (NAIA 1), as the rehabilitation of what some consider the world’s worst airport begins,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
However, the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) says people should just brace themselves for some “minor” inconvenience.
Considering the state that the airport is in, the word “minor” scares us. Besides, the report revealed that “several gates of the 32-year-old airport will be closed during the renovation, which will be done in six phases.”
So, which part of that sounds “minor” to you?
Our tip to government officials: Tell us to expect the worst so we won’t expect anything else. It saves us from whining and you from making excuses.
