“On Monday, Feb 10, militant group Anakbayan and consumers’ movement, Strike The Hike Network on Monday staged a lightning rally near Malacañang to protest the inaction of the Aquino administration to stop the price surge of basic services and commodities,” reports Dennis Carcamo on Philstar.com.
The groups held the protest rally in anticipation of another oral argument on Manila Electric Co.’s power rate hike before the Supreme Court on Tuesday, Feb 11.
The groups said they will also stage noise protests at the Supreme Court on Feb 11, Feb 17, and Feb 18.
