Liberian man nabbed for counterfeiting U.S. dollars

Talk about a cultural halo-halo. He’s from Liberia but was caught with fake U.S. dollars in the Philippines.

“On Monday, Jan 20, Arthur Shakee Anderson, 26, was arrested after he claimed from the Central Mail Express near Domestic Road, Pasay City a package containing more than 200 pieces of fake US$100 bills,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.

The Airport Customs Police were alerted when it was discovered that Anderson’s documents did not match the contents of the package he was claiming.

Authorities believe that Anderson wanted to sell the fake money in provinces. He’s been charged with counterfeiting at the Pasay City Prosecutor’s Office.
