Ooopsie.

Leyte Normal University (LNU) apologized yesterday to beauty vloggers Bretman Rock Sacayanan and Manny MUA after the school used photos of the two influencers for a poster to illustrate what it considers examples of “inappropriate grooming for men.”

In a statement posted by LNU’s Supreme Student Council, Jacqueline Espina, the school’s dean of student affairs, wrote that using Rock and Manny’s photos “was done without malicious intentions of maligning” them.

Espina said that the university’s president has issued a memo asking everyone to stop sharing the poster. A copy of the poster that appeared on LNU’s Facebook account has also been taken down. Espina also said that LNU has “e-mailed” a public apology to both influencers.

Netizens were shookt yesterday when Manny and Rock tweeted their reactions to the poster.

Manny, whose real name is Manuel Gutierrez, wrote in a tweet to confirm that one of the photos used was him. He also attached a copy of the poster but the attachment can no longer be found.

Reacting to Manny’s tweet, one eagle-eyed netizen noticed that the photo of the man wearing an oversized top was Bretman. She even shared the real photo to prove it.

Rock confirmed that one of the photos used was indeed of him. The Filipino-American influencer, whose real name is Bretman Sacayanan, even shared a screenshot of the real LNU poster. (Manny’s headshot is in the second row, second from right.)

Bretman also joked that he had cuter “lewks” and complained about LNU using that photo. Ha!

Classy comebacks, guys. Bravo.
