The vice presidential race in the recent elections was full of suspense.
Neophyte Leni Robredo won the contest with just around 263,000 votes over her nearest rival Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. The Marcos camp is saying that Bongbong was deprived of nearly four million votes through cheating and malfunctioning vote-counting machines.
One of Robredo’s daughters called the allegations unfair. In an interview on “Tonight with Boy Abunda” on Tuesday, Aika Robredo urged the camp of Marcos to bring their complaints to the proper venue.
She said that the complaints brought to the media were unfair to the supporters and volunteers who helped her mother in the campaign.
“Tingin ko ay parang nakakainsulto din iyon sa kanila to say na wala kayong chance manalo, na nanalo lang kayo by cheating (I think it’s insulting for them to say that we do not have a chance of winning.. that we only won because of cheating),” she said.
The camp of Marcos said it is considering filing an election protest case to contest the victory of Robredo.
