Wednesday was huge for Jillian Robredo, Vice President Leni Robredo’s youngest daughter, as she graduated from New York University with a double degree in economics and mathematics.

The VP herself, as well as her two daughters Aika and Tricia, documented the graduation ceremony that took place at Yankee Stadium.

The vice president wrote “Big day!!” on her Instagram stories, featuring a miniature Philippine flag beside the ceremony’s program card.

She also posted a photo of her older daughters, writing, “Jill’s cheerleaders.” Aika’s story revealed that the entire family wore a modern take on the Filipiniana dress for the occasion.

Tricia also posted a cheeky story to commemorate the day, in reference to a Bongbong Marcos supporter who had earlier questioned the Vice President’s decision to post a photo of Jillian graduating from college, writing, “Yeah, we get that she’s graduating, but the point is, do you need to take a photo?”

Meanwhile, the Robredo sisters were equally excited about Jillian’s graduation, as well as a special guest that graced the ceremonies: Taylor Swift, who was conferred with an honorary doctorate degree in Fine Arts that day and was also tapped to be the graduation speaker.

The ceremony reportedly honored the graduates of 2020, 2021, and 2022 following the coronavirus pandemic that disrupted NYU’s traditional ceremonies.
