We are liking Naga City’s congresswoman Leni Robredo’s guts.
She said that while the current administration had many achievements, mass transportation isn’t one of them. She gave the Aquino administration a passing grade of 7-8, BTW.
The Liberal Party vice president hopeful admitted the Aquino administrated failed to address the mass transport system problem.
To do that, she said they first needed to accept that there is a problem and that there is a need for an efficient mass transport system.
“[To say] The more progressive a place is, the more there’s trafffic…that’s not a justification not to address traffic,” Robredo said, disagreeing with her running mate, Presidential aspirant Mar Roxas who said traffic is a sign of progress.
“I don’t think that’s a correct position,” Robredo said at the Univeristy of the Philippines in Diliman during a Vice Presidential forum organized that the National Alliance of Youth Leaders.
“Yes, there is progress but that’s no reason for traffic,” she adds.
