Lawyer in EDSA-Ortigas road accident has altercation with traffic constables, cops

When too much alcohol is thrown into the mix, your law degree allegedly goes out the window.

In the early hours of Tues, Sep 30, a car driven by a woman crashed in the EDSA-Ortigas area.

When Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) traffic constables and police arrived on the scene, they were confronted by a woman whom they later identified as Atty. Bettina Zamora.

The MMDA traffic constables said that Zamora appeared to be drunk. Thus, they stopped her from getting back into her car. However, Zamora turned hostile.

In a report by GMA’s 24 Oras, one MMDA constable said that Zamora actually held his neck and later started pushing him. The other members of the team that accosted Zamora also sustained minor injuries from the altercation.

Zamora, who failed the sobriety test, has been charged for alarm and scandal, direct assault, and numerous traffic violations.

Zamora refused to give a comment on camera, but she claimed she also got hurt in the incident.
