Even our lawmakers want to say goodbye to congested Manila.
Two party-list lawmakers are proposing to form a commission to explore the feasibility of transferring the Philippine capital and permanent seat of the national government elsewhere.
Magdalo party-list Representatives Gary Alejano and Francisco Ashley Acedillo wants Congress to assemble a National Capital Commission which will be tasked to study the creation of a new capital.
The lawmakers described the capital as “lacking of urban planning,” reports Philippine Daily Inquirer.
