A killing joke. A 65-year-old man was killed in Paco, Manila this week after sharing a laugh with a friend at a wake.
According to the Manila Police District, Danilo Peliño was leaving a wake when he and his companion laughed about something. Another guest at the wake, Robert “Bukol” Pangilinan from Laguna, reportedly thought he was the butt of the joke.
Pangilinan then allegedly shadowed Peliño and, when he saw his chance, pushed him against a parked motorcycle. Pangilinan then stabbed Peliño repeatedly, Pilipino Star Ngayon reports. The old man died at the Philippine General Hospital.
