When it comes reasons for why the Metro Rail Transit isn’t working properly, there seems to be an endless supply of reasons.
On Mon, May 25, after MRT Line 3 operations got stalled (as usual), MRT 3 general manager Roman Buenafe claimed that “someone threw plastic from the platform of Ortigas station.”
A report by ABS-CBN News’ Jacque Manabat further cited Buenafe, who explained that the piece of plastic supposedly reached MRT’s overhead catenary system, which consists of the overhead wires that bring power to the trains.
Thus, for a few minutes, MRT trips were only limited between Shaw Boulevard and Taft Avenue stations.
